![]() ![]() This request should contain the 'chat_id' and the code mentioned in step 2.So in telegram, when that user clicks on "start", telegram makes a request to this webhook. At this point a webhook should already have been in place, maybe like /api/notications/_telegram, just to handle requests from telegram's end. When the user clicks or uses this link, "deep linking" opens this in the telegram app.The code could be persisted for some time or stored in the User model for later look up. Clicking on this button shows a link, maybe in a new dialog.Maybe in the toolbar here traccar-web/web/app/view/edit/Notifications.js Have a button somewhere to show the clickable link. These could be a possible flow of how things could work. Maybe, a response from the bot that the user has successfully subscribed to notifications.ĪFAIK currently, users have to extract the 'chat_id' themselves and manually enter into User attributes. This link would open up the Telegram app and here the user can just "start" the chat. ![]() The web UI could have some way to display the code which the user can click. A code could be embedded into a link to "start" the conversation. We'll need a 'chat_id' of a "conversation" which the human has to initiate with the bot. So, now, I think we might consider an easier way to associate a telegram user to a traccar User. I was looking for a way to notify events to telegram users only for their own devices.
